Arehole Prathishtana has been doing service activities since 2011 and has completed ten years of this journey. This is a registered trust under Karnataka Registration act and is working in the field of Education, Arts, Literature and Culture. This trust was found by the well known writer and an organiser, Arehole Sadashiva Rao.

He is taking active role as the President and his wife, Geetha S. Rao as the Vice President of the same. The former State President of Kannada Sahithya Parishat, Dharmadarshi Harikrishna Punaroor is the Honorary President and the well known Social Worker, Mr. K. C. Prabhu is the honorary advisor of the trust.

Nandagokula, the performing wing of Arehole Prathishtana, was established in 2014 and is led by Kumari Shwetha Arehole, a well-known dancer and theatre artist. The group performs a wide range of dance forms, including Classical, Semi-Classical, Folk, Indian Contemporary, and other traditional and modern styles. Team Nandagokula is actively involved in the production and performance of plays and dance dramas, working under the direction of some of the most renowned directors in the country. Over the years, the team has emerged as one of the leading performing arts groups in the state.

Arehole Prathishtana is committed to serving society by supporting the underprivileged, promoting education for the needy, and preserving and promoting art and culture. In pursuit of these objectives, the Prathishtana regularly organizes state-level dance, theatre, and literature festivals, including Arehole Dibbana, Arehole Natakotsava, Arehole Sahithya Sourabha, NruthyaVarsha, and several others.

The Prathishtana also plays a vital role in encouraging and recognizing artists and achievers across various fields through prestigious awards such as the Arehole Rangabhoomi Award (for theatre achievers), Sumakrishna Award (for excellence in Yakshagana), Nandagokula Deepavali Award (for young achievers), Nandagokula Nruthyavisharada Award (for excellence in dance), Harikrishna Punaroor Award (for contributions to journalism, literature, and social service), and the Saraswathi Adarsha Shikshaka Award (for outstanding teachers).

Further strengthening its commitment to the performing arts, Arehole Prathishtana expanded Team Nandagokula’s theatre and dance initiatives by establishing the “Nandagokula Theatre School” at Arehole, Byndoor Taluk, Udupi District, Karnataka.
